Courtney and Jeremy

October 31, 2008

I finally got to do a wedding at the church Bo and I got married at!  It was so neat!  I hadn’t been there since the day we were married…almost 5 years ago!  Wow.  Anyways, Courtney and Jeremy’s wedding was beautiful.  Every little detail was thought out and went with the whole theme.  Their families are so sweet and made the day great!  The reception was at Courtney’s aunt’s home.  It was the same location as her mom’s reception!  How cool is that?!

You guys were so awesome and your images are beautiful!  I hope you enjoy them!

This picture was an accident but looked kinda cool

I love the way the lighting was here

He was too cute!

I loved the boutonnieres!  Again…all the little details!

He was so tired, he pooped out during the ceremony.  Too sweet!

Hunting has been the theme lately :)

Courtney and Jeremy had a little picnic basket made for them to bring to the hotel

Courtney changed into a “going away” dress for their leave.  It was camo with an orange bow.

I think Jeremy liked it!

Their faces aren’t as sharp as I would like it to be, but the shot was cool!

Becca and Erick

October 11, 2008

Becca and Erick’s wedding was so sweet.  It was actually my first wedding to do in Haughton!  I went to school with Becca and was so glad to hear that she wanted me to photograph her wedding!  And not only that, but they bought a house right down the street!  How crazy is that?!

I loved the colors of the bridesmaids bouquets.  And I’m slightly jealous that they honeymooned in Hawaii!  I think brides should start requesting honeymoon shoots!  Well, maybe that wouldn’t be such a good idea ;)

Anyway, Becca and Erick, thank you for having me capture your special day and I hope you enjoy your images!

This bracelet was Becca’s great grandmother’s!  How sweet is that?!

I love the area at the front of the altar that had all the names of God engraved on it!  In the middle, it has “Jesus” in large letters, but you can’t see it because of where Becca and Erick are standing.

I really wanted to get a center shot from the balcony, but there is a production area in the center with a camera set up, so I couldn’t do it :(  But this is still a cool shot!

Gotta love the duck!

Megan and Coleman

September 18, 2008

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Megan and Coleman’s wedding.  The weather was not looking too good, but despite it, I stopped by Target on my way to the ceremony and almost got blown away by the wind…seriously!  It was crazy!  My cute, pink umbrella was blown inside out and the fabric ripped off the metal bars doing me no good.  Of course, I had heels on, and while trying to literally run inside, I trip and get my pants soaked.  The horizontal rain attacked me from every angle!  Am I painting a good picture yet? ;)

I arrive at the chapel and wait patiently for Megan to arrive.  She and her best friend arrive, and to my surprise, she says, “I love your hair!”  There it was, my rainbow on a rainy day.  With “words of affirmation” being my second Love Language, I was set for a great day of shooting!

Megan and Coleman share a love that is so strong!  You can see it in their eyes and the way they look at each other.  Capturing their passion on camera was incredibly easy!  I know they will share a very long and lasting marriage.  Thank you to both of you for the pleasure of photographing your wedding day and for making my job not seem like a job at all!

I usually hate images with shadows, but someone took a picture at the same time I did, and I got this from it.  I thought it turned out kind of cool with their shadows on the wall.

Right as I was taking this image, the electricity went out!

All the single men serenaded Megan, like on Top Gun (that’s what the DJ said, I’m not sure what they sang because I’ve actually never seen Top Gun…I know…kind of like I’ve never seen Jerry Maguire either)

Since it was raining outside, they did bubbles inside to their last dance for their leave.

Belinda and Jay

September 3, 2008

This couple could not be any sweeter!  Belinda and Jay had a small, intimate ceremony on a Sunday afternoon.  The ceremony was held at The Gazebo on Line Avenue.  Their reception followed at Ralph and Kacoo’s.  Less than two weeks after their wedding, Belinda’s National Guard unit was called out because of the hurricane for a month!  I know they miss each other greatly!

Belinda and Jay, you are a precious couple!  Thank you for the opportunity to capture the love between you two.  And God bless the both of you for your service to our country!  I hope you enjoy your images.

This was so sweet.  Belinda began to tear up while saying her vows, and Jay sweetly dried her tears.

Holly and Wynne

August 3, 2008

Hey everyone!!  Can you believe I’m actually blogging images from yesterday’s wedding?!!  We had a 7 hour layover in Atlanta on our way to Panama City, Panama, and thank the Lord for WIFI internet and an incredible sister that helped me hold the boys while I finished this up :) .

Anyways, Holly and Wynne’s wedding took place at First United Methodist Church in Shreveport with the reception following at the Petroleum Club.  It was my first wedding since my month off, and what a great time it fell in…right after my photo seminar in Dallas…I was pumped!  Holly was so laid back and made an incredibly beautiful bride!  She had the cutest ideas for bridesmaids gifts giving them monogrammed bags and purple silk robes with their initial monogrammed!  I thought they were adorable…I want one!  For their first dance, Holly and Wynne learned a ballroom dance and performed beautifully!  It was too sweet.  At the end of the night, one of their tires on the getaway car lost its air, so the wonderful groomsmen pitched in and came to the rescue…I got a shot of it.

Holly and Wynne, thank you for the opportunity to capture your special day.  I hope the love you two share would multiply over the years!  Enjoy your images :)

Oh, and a HUGE thank you to Brent Holloman for creating my blog actions for me!  Brent you are awesome!  I can’t wait to see what you will come up for me in the near future!!

Megan and Chris

July 2, 2008

Have you ever gone bungee jumping, or ridden a roller coaster, or done anything that made you feel so excited that you couldn’t wait for it to start, and then didn’t want it to end?  That is how I felt about Megan and Chris’s wedding!  I don’t think I ever stopped smiling.  This was one of my favorite weddings to photograph thus far.  Megan and Chris were such a delight to work with and were too sweet!  I truly felt that they started out as my clients and are now my friends.  Thank you guys for the opportunity to capture your very special day!  It was a blast!

Here’s a sneak peek…

I loved this magnet that Piper had at her salon, “The Bigger The Hair, The Closer To God.”

Chris had all these cards ready for Megan to open when she arrived at the church.  They were 6 cards in order reading, “Megan” “Lee” “Soon” “To” “Be” “Megan Branton”.  Too sweet!

I loved this series of Chris going for the garter!

Christy and Josh

April 14, 2008

These two were too cute. You could really tell they were in love!  I loved Christy’s bridesmaid’s dresses and colors.  The wedding was at Grand Canyon Baptist Church and the reception was at Moonlight and Lace Bed and Breakfast.  It was a beautiful day outside and we got some fun shots of the wedding party.  Oh, and props to my friend, Merideth Berinobis, a Mary Kay consultant, for doing ALL the girls’ makeup!  They looked beautiful.  Here are my faves…

What else would the guys be doing?

Peekaboo…

Josh surprised Christy with a band along with her engagement ring!  This was her face when she saw the ring and band together! :)  Good job Josh!

I love Christy’s eyes here…

And a sweet ring shot…

There’s one in every bunch, right?

Jamie and Michael

November 15, 2007

Jamie’s wedding day was absolutely beautiful!  That morning she had a bridal brunch at the home of Pastor and Mrs. Lowery of First Baptist Bossier.  Everything was so thought out and just perfect.  From there we went to Jamie’s for her hair and make-up and then to the church.  Even though I was big and pregnant, I had a blast doing this wedding-actually photographing the whole day!

Hailey and Kevin

November 14, 2007

Hailey and Kevin’s wedding was so much fun!  I’ve known the Prince family for a while now and they are some of the sweetest people on earth!  Everyone in the wedding was so excited and made for a really fun day.  The reception was in the Prince’s backyard at their historical home in Haughton.  They hung twinkle lights in the magnolia trees and built a dance floor!  Here were some of my favorites…
