Youth Convention
March 30, 2008
Last Friday and Saturday, our youth group attended the Louisiana Assemblies of God State Youth Convention. We had a blast! God did amazing things in our youth-not just as a group, but more importantly, as individuals. We were stoked to find out last year that our worship band would be doing worship this year! Pastor Johnny led, and our team did incredible-not surprising! We have the most incredible worship team in the world-but I’m not playing favorites 😉 And my hubby played the drums. There’s nothing like watching your husband worship God to the fullest-especially while using his talents to do so.
Our guest speaker was Allen Griffin. He is HILARIOUS. We heard him speak at youth camp a couple years ago, and of course, he brought down the house at convention. At the end of the service Saturday, he had the kids pass around a wooden cross to visually show that they can bring their burdens to the cross and leave them there. He had them kneel once they touched the cross-that was a sight to see!
Well, I have a bunch of images from convention and I tried to narrow them down, but there are still a lot. I don’t have Photoshop on my laptop yet, so I couldn’t make a storyboard-sorry 😦 We left before the time we set out for, which has never happened before, so we took a picture of it! hahaha.
Anyways, here are a few of my faves:
Meagan and Chris

This session was a lot of fun! Chris has a deer lease by Dogwood that is HUGE! I followed them out there and I didn’t think we were ever gonna stop driving! I don’t hunt, but I sure would be his buddy if I did 😉 We had fun running around getting pictures. We even saw an alligator! I think we spooked him so I didn’t get too good of a shot. When we got done there, we headed downtown. Oh, and the coolest thing is their precious little girl was born on the SAME day as Broox…August 24th! How crazy is that?! Here are my faves:
Tourist Bureau and Snow Day
March 19, 2008
As many of you know, I am now the official photographer for the Shreveport/Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau. I plan on blogging some of the images later, but I took these of Bexley and two of his friends for some kids shots I needed and thought they were fun. Bexley, Braylon, and Lauren were too cute together, and as you can see, Bexley takes after his mom with the camera in hand! 🙂
And can you believe it?…It snowed in Louisiana!! I’m still in shock. In the morning we bust out snow shovels, and a few hours later you can throw a pair of shorts on! Haha, that’s our weather for you! The funny thing is, the snow started falling that morning, and I thought, “of course it snows, but it never sticks.” Then by the time I got home…vioala!…PILED UP SNOW! Thank you Jesus! It was so neat. It was just a bummer that Bexley was at school for it all, so I ran to Bo’s office to grab a pic with him 🙂 And on the way home, I passed by the Fire Station to get a pic of the “fireman” snowman they were making 🙂

Master Your Craft
March 2, 2008
This past Monday I had the opportunity to hear Mike Colon and Bob Davis speak in Dallas. And let me tell you, it was awesome! If you are a professional photographer, you HAVE to hear Mike Colon speak. He is just incredible. So, my new friend, and photographer, Kenny Kim, took some awesome pictures of the event. And with his permission, I was able to post his images on my blog. My sis-in-law assisted me at the event and we even made the cut! Check them out!
